She is a Peacock Guardian, protector of peacocks and transformed from one of the few rare white peacocks. I named her 雀儿 in chinese, or Que Er...roughly pronounced as Chu Er. Yes, she's an original character by me. I made this piece for the contest (SO HELP ME OUT, and VOTE for me? Pleash?), and yes my color theme is "ICY BLUE". This drawing went through a total of three days until it came to this final draft. This was actually inspired by a character I had done a while ago in school, you can see it below under my process. She started out as a traditional peacock color scheme, but I decided it wouldn't work for this particular contest since that would involve a varity of colors rather than just one. And yes, the designs and patterns are once again inspired by my favorite artist, alphonse mucha. She is done in prisma and crayola markers, with watercolor background.
